Sikkim Tour plans
Planning to travel now or later on to Sikkim?? This is the place to visit in a gap of 3 – 4 years. Most people prefer the beach to the hills. So, let me tell you all about Sikkim.
Estimates and planning
- it cost near about per person rs.8000.
Here are the things that can help you with planning your trip:
- Identifying travel route: Sikkim’s most frequent travel route is Gangtok City Tour and a day trip to Nathu La Pass. You can add Pelling along with this trip since you have more time. You can also consider visiting the gurudongmar lake along with yumthang valley for three days and two nights, this trip along with Gangtok city tour will be on both your budget and time. Otherwise you can consider going on the old silk route to Zuluk, which is also a beautiful route and on this route you can also go to Pelling.
- Hotel and vehicle booking: if you’re going to stay in Gangtok, booking a hotel in advance is a good option. This will save time in finding a hotel and you can take advantage of offers from different travel portals. There would be a lot of brokers trying to sell you travel deals that you might want to ignore once you reach NJP station. It’s better to book a Sikkim number plate vehicle from the taxi stand after talking to the driver directly. You can take the same vehicle or book a new vehicle from Gangtok for onward tours. If you’re heading to Zuluk or Yumthang Valley, ask the driver to arrange your stay, he’ll quote you a consolidated price including travel, Hospitality and food, that’s a great deal. Talk to a few drivers before finalizing the deal, but there are good local drivers and we didn’t feel they were trying to charge a high price.
- Other Cost: If you take a consolidated driver tour, you’ll have covered all three major meals, so you’ll only have to pay for snacks or coffee. It will be extra to take a Yak ride or other outdoor activities, but the price is not exorbitant.
